Green Bay Bible Camp COVID-19 Update – March 23, 2020

Dear Green Bay Family,

We are thinking of you in these days and recognize that these are unprecedented times and that with changes happening day by day and hour by hour we are living in the midst of the unknown.

Here at Green Bay we are continuing to follow the wise council of our Government Officials and Health Care Professionals and choosing to put our hope and trust in our Heavenly Father who is over all, in all and through all.  God is good and he is in control and our prayer is that you may experience peace and joy in the midst of COVID-19.

We recognize that these next few weeks will look very different than we all imagined and so we have put together a variety of ways in which we hope will serve you and your families during this season.

We are diligently working to make 2020 an amazing experience for all!

We wanted to assure you that, with the current COVID19 situation if camps are unable to proceed because of government restrictions this season, we will fully refund your prepaid camp fees for the affected camps.

Auto payments for camp are due to be processed on April 1 2020,  however if you would like us to defer your April payment at this point we are happy to do so. Our regular cancellation policy is outlined on our website for Overnight, Day and Family Camps and if you have any questions or concerns please contact our office at 250 758 5884 or email Cheryl at fun@greenbay.bc.ca.

We encourage you to register for camp to ensure you have a spot for the 2020 summer.  Can you imagine how fun camp will be when we are all done with social distancing.  We have said it numerous times….we wish you could all be social distancing at Green Bay with us.

What is currently happening at Green Bay Bible Camp:

  1. You and your families are being prayed for.  Please let us know how we can be praying for or helping you during this season.  You can email jenn@greenbay.bc.ca
  2. Delicious meals and summer menus are being planned.  Send us your favourite camp meal ideas.
  3. The dock is being rebuilt.  We are SO excited!!
  4. Epic events of ridiculous awesome are being planned.
  5. Incredible summer staff who seek to serve, love to have fun, and can’t wait for summer….are being interviewed and hired.
  6. Amazing moments of connectedness, rest, worship, and care are being crafted.  \
  7. Registrations are still rolling in and are being processed.

What has currently paused at Green Bay Bible Camp:

  1. We have closed the Green Bay Campus until April 3rd. The office is open, and functioning with regular hours, but have asked for our guest and activities groups to pause meeting here until April 3rd, at which time we will reassess.
  2. We are postponing our Steak and Lobster Fundraiser.  We look forward to, and anticipate when we can all gather and celebrate together.
  3. We canceled the Jon Mark and Kaitlyn staff connect and recruit tour.

Amazing Ways To Keep Connected:

  3. The Kitchen at Green Bay presents: Jr Chef Cooking/Baking Series (recommenced for 13+ or with parental assistance) – Learn the basics in one week for $47 or join us for the full 6 week series for $197. For more information or to pre-register, click HERE

The Bakery at Green Bay

  • the Sourdough School House is partnering with Green Bay to bring sourdough to our   local community
  • if you would be interested in having sourdough bread and pastries delivered to your   door, join our BREAD CLUB. There will be limited supply, so pre-register HERE.

Sourdough Baking Live Stream

  • the Sourdough School House is also doing a Live Stream Sourdough Bread course    during the week of March 30.

Ways You Can Help

  1. Please continue to share about Green Bay Bible Camp with your friends and families and invite them to come.  No better place to gather all your friends after social distancing than the warm and sunny beach of Green Bay.
  2. Pray with us.  Every Monday Morning at 9-9:45am, Jenn will be walking the campus and praying for you and for the camp.  We are unable to all gather here together physically, but we can gather before the Father together.

We are continuing to monitor the changes in COVID-19 and will keep you updated if and when things change for us here at Green Bay.  As of now….we are planning for an incredible summer and anticipating having you all here with us.  We serve a good God and our trust remains steadfast in Him.  If there are ways we can be serving you in the coming weeks please do not hesitate to connect with us!
