.GBX. – A 4 Month Leadership and Discipleship Program

We have something SUPER EXCITING coming your way in the new year! We are beyond thrilled to announce that in January 2021 we will be officially launching a 4 month discipleship and leadership program called “GBX”.

GBX is a 4 month program, running from January 4th to April 30th 2020, designed to help young adults gain valuable paid work experience in the camping industry, build community, dive deeper in their faith, develop leadership skills and gain a greater understanding of how they are wired and what their giftings are. The Program will focus specifically on Faith Formation, Leadership Development, Community Engagement, and Service, all through the experience of working and serving alongside the Green Bay Full Time Staff Team. Participants will receive full time pay for 8 of the 16 weeks in the program and will be required to have 35hrs of time to commit to the program in a 7 day week.

We recognize that in these new and changing times University and College students are missing out on the opportunity for community living. With Churches unable to gather and schools unable to offer that point of connection we have students across our country searching for relationships, encouragement, work, support and deep care. GBX is designed to meet all those needs. It’s a program that seeks to partner with students as they engage in online learning or as they take a step away from their studies this year to work or experience something new.

Program Entrance Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18
• Can be enrolled in online school while involved in the GBX Program
  • Must be available for 35 hours per week from Sunday to Saturday for work assignments and program requirements
    • These 35hrs include the weekly bible study, family dinners and all staff meetings in addition to job duties as assigned
  • Hours are flexible and will require availability during the daytime, evening and on weekends
• All Program participants are required to live on site at Green Bay Bible Camp for the duration of the Program

Participants Will:

• be paid minimum wage for 35 hrs a week for 8 of the 16 weeks of their program
• be charged $400 for entry in to the program to cover living expenses for the 4 months
• be responsible for preparing and cooking their own meals
  • Kitchen amenities will be provided in student housing
• attend a weekly Bible Study
• attend a weekly Staff Team Meeting
• attend a weekly Family Dinner
• Partner with the Full Time Team to help develop the 2021 Summer Camp Program
• Partner with the Full Time Team to help develop off season events at the camp

Applications for the GBX Program are open now and will remain open until December 30th. Applications can be found online here. Once an application is complete a member of the Green Bay Staff Team will reach out and set up a short interview. All pending applications will be given notice of their acceptance into the program after the successful completion of the applicant’s interview.
